Our money stays local

I joined the Greater Broward Chapter of The Pap Corps in 2011. Debbie Feldman, my cousin, was a member at the time and she invited me to a meeting. I was very impressed with what I heard about this organization but especially with the fact that a large percent of the money collected goes directly to Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and that the money stays local. I was also a member of Susan G. Komen and knowing that much more of the money they collect goes to administrative costs, I switched my support to The Pap Corps. Having many family members who were impacted by various types of cancer, I felt more comfortable being involved in an organization that attended to many types. The Pap Corps is also involved in determining which research our monies support.
Debbie went on to become a Co-President of our chapter and I started as a member, went on to become the Secretary and am now the treasurer. Being a member of the executive board enables me to stay involved with the choice of "fun" raising activities and everything else that our chapter does. We have lots of fun while we raise more money each year. I am supporting the Pap Corps in reaching its goal to eradicate cancer. Reaching 4.5 million dollars this year was an awesome reward for all the time put in by the many of our members. I am a proud member of The Greater Broward Chapter of the Pap Corps.
