My Story

July 24, 2014

One of the reasons I’m involved with the Pap Corps is because a close friend of mine, Lisa Druckman, was diagnosed with cancer, and after a long and tough struggle she passed away five years ago. -- What resulted from the experience of seeing Lisa struggle, a handful of her friends became a closer group of friends ourselves.

The five of us began meeting for lunch on a regular basis to remember and reminisce about Lisa.  These include Michele McMahon, Allison Tromer,  Janice Weinsoff  and Linda Browdy-

Around the same time my mom encouraged me to get involved, because a new Pap Corps group had started in this area.

Another reason I became involved was because of my mom’s involvement.  My mom, Nedra Friedman, is very active in her Pap Corps chapter in Valencia Shores.  She was the first co-president of her chapter which she helped to start about 10 years ago.  I attended the Walk-A-Thon with her at FAU with her in March of 2012 and realized the work they do and how important and meaningful the Pap Corps could be in my life.

A few months later I followed up with the Greater Broward Chapter and I got involved and became VP of Fundraising with Michele McMahon.

So it’s in Lisa’s memory that we’ve become motivated to do what we can to raise money for this great organization The Pap Corps—Join us!
